Happy Tuesday! I am here today with another installment of  Hubby and Wife Style with Chantry (hubby) and today we are collaborating with one of my favorite t-shirt to go shops ONNO tshirts (see past collaboration here and here).

ONNO t-shirts  produces t-shirts in friendly work places in China with a focus on bringing work to the people as well as customers t-shirts from organic cottons, hemp and bamboo fibers.

ONNO was nice enough to send my husband a hemp t-shirt for this style collaboration (and tomorrow we will show you our Bamboo shirts collaboration). My husband choose the men’s tee hemp line Earth Blue color to style and before I move on to my black bamboo tee from ONNO I will let my husband share with you his thoughts of the hemp fiber tee displayed in this post.

Chantry’s thoughts: I told my boss at work that I was getting a hemp shirt (in truth its 55% hemp 45% cotton) and she laughed at me saying that she could not picture me wearing hemp. I have no clue why she thought it was strange, maybe she thought hemp would not agree with my religious beliefs because I am a devout Christian. I however do not think anything is wrong with hemp, I’m a closet bohemian. When I got home from work my hemp ONNO shirt had come in, of course I wore it the next day. The boss lady had no clue. When I told her I got to laugh at her because she couldn’t believe it.

The shirt feels far more durable then a normal cotton t-shirt. It also seems more flexible then cotton which is strange, I did not think that something could be more flexible then cotton. I did however choose to wear it on a supper hot day and with its dark color and working physically hard I ended up sweating some and this made the ONNO shirt feel a little itchy. It was more breathable than cotton. Over all

My thoughts:

ONNO sent me my black hemp tee last year and I can’t get enough of it. I literally wear it once a week and on the blog often and has become my favorite black tee that I own. I love that I can wash the tee over and over and not get a faded black color, this is because hemp fibers help retain dyes keeping their shirts from looking faded. I appreciate that this tee keeps me cool even in on the warmer days as the shirt breathes better than most tees I own.

Today I am keeping my look basic with styling my tee over jeggings, ankle strap dorsay flats and gold accessories. You may remember this tutorial where I show you how I made this necklace and so you get to see it worn for the first time and not the last for sure. This style is probably the one I wear most often with my black tee (especially lately) but it goes great with just about any outfit bottoms and shoes, which is a plus.

ONNO is also letting you know that starting in September they are kick starting a new fundraiser/notice on their new hemp line where they hope to improve the hemp tees to include more elastic and lighter feel, you can learn more and sign up to receive this information here.

That’s not it, ONNO tshirts wants to provide 1 mens and 1 womens tee to one of my readers as a way to celebrate the upcoming fundraiser and launch. Giveaway is open to USA residents and will last for two weeks. Enter in the rafflecopter below and goodluck!!!
