Mixing

It’s Monday and hopefully a productive one at that. Some Monday’s I am doing tons of housework (that I didn’t do on Sunday because of the Sabbath, rest) and other Monday’s I am relaxing from a busy weekend and week. I am finally starting to feel better and even get a bit more sleep than I have a week or so ago due to being sick. Aside from getting over being sick I am doing well but on to the post topic. I am sharing the joy of mixing.

Mixing patterns of course. I have had the combo of buffalo plaid and stripes in my head for awhile now but just found the weather tolerable of layering. This button up is a favorite of mine and this may be the third time I have worn it this year (see my Spring post here) so it will definitely get more wear. I may need your suggestions on how to style it next.

Finally I mixed two lip colors (Purple- Lexie Beary with 2 Layers of Pink Aussie Rose) together to create this amazing look with berry tones in it. I love that LipSense allows me to layer 2 or 3 colors on top of each other to create a whole other color and they don’t bleaed or smudge together to create an awful color. Seriously the best and I have more colors coming in too to experiment with, which makes me HAPPY!!!

Coming away from the topic of mixing I want to highlight that my sister Sarah took these photos and we had an amazing time together. I haven’t laughed so hard in months is all I will say. Sometimes a good laugh is probably the cure of all and I blame my cold going away on laughter and joy to cure the ails (and God’s healing and your prayers, of course). I can’t help but smile at these photos and thank God for my sis.

How should I mix this buffalo plaid next? How do you style buffalo plaid?

Cute outfit! I should do this as I just got a similar striped top at H&M and have a red plaid top like yours! Love the mixed lip colors, too! Glad you are feeling better.
